The Tattoo Artist Showcase
JUNE 17 -20 2009
                 *      TATTOOS      *

1) Small: Must fit within a 3”x 3” area.
2) Medium: Must fit within a 6”x 10” area.
3) Large: Larger than 6”x 10” but not a complete arm or leg sleeve or a full back piece.  
4) Arm or Leg Sleeve: A complete sleeve, covering both upper and forearm or entire leg.
5) Back Piece: Must cover the entire back.
6) Black & Grey: Can only be black, gray shades & white of ink. NO colored ink.
7) Cover-up: Must cover over an existing tattoo. Must have a photo of the covered up tattoo.
8) Portrait: Must have a photo or the actual person depicted with them.
9) Color: Can be any style or size of tattoo as long as it has bright vibrant coloring.
10) Overall body: Can be spread out multiple smaller tattoos (at least 5) up to full coverage.
                                   
                  
SPECIAL CLASSIFICATIONS
            First Ever Tattoo: Must your first tattoo and be done during show.
      Motorcycle: Must be related to the motorcycling lifestyle in some manner
      Military/ Patriotic: Tanks, planes, ships, cannons, guns, flags, eagles etc


          *      PIERCING      *
                      Judging Criteria & Guidelines

1) Placement, where on the actual body, is the piercing, and is it placed well.
   (example. Left eyebrow, above corner of eye, or middle of brow...)

2) Angle, does the angle of the piercing, match the angle of the body where it was
placed, or placed in a way where the angle best suits the area to be pierced.

3) Depth, the piercing should be done so as to allow small movement with the
motion and contour of the body, but not so deep as to cause bunching of the    
skin, and or discomfort for the pierce

4) Jewelry, is the jewelry matching the style and placement of the piercing,
(example. A 12g 3/4" hoop, would most likely not look well in a nose...)

5)  Appeal, the piercing should not look out of place, or have a negative impact.

6)  Creativity, be creative, we don’t want to see the same old stuff
(navel, eyebrow, etc )

  *    PIERCING CLASSES    *
                                     BEST NOSE: Must only be of the nose

                               BEST EARS: Can be a single ear or both ears

                               BEST NAVEL: Just the 3” around the navel area

                                OVERALL FACE: Includes brow lips ears etc

                     OVERALL BODY: Covers all piercings Only publicly viewable
TATTOO & PIERCING CONTEST
RULES AND CLASSES
Anyone can enter any class. There will be a fee (to be decided) which entitles you to enter two categories
once you have been admitted to the rally. You may only enter one tattoo per class; however you may enter
the same tattoo into two different classes as long as the tattoo fits into the class requirements listed below.

Judging will be done by a panel of at least 3 judges. If the Judge knows the artist or person then they will
not be allowed to judge that tattoo. Scoring will be done on a 1-10 scale, based on the overall appearance
of tattoo. When applicable: originality, lines, coloring, shading, overall design, flow and movement of the
tattoo will all be considered for scoring. In the event of a tie between tattoos they will be re-judged.
TATTOOS - 10 REGULAR CLASSES WITH 3 SPECIAL CLASSES
PIERCING -   5 CLASSES
BEST OF SHOW (1 TATTOO, 1 PIERCING, 1 OVERALL)

AWARDS FOR 1st, 2nd, 3rd PLACES
